Treatment & Care

With its springs exerting gentle and constant force on the teeth, the Cetlin is used to distalize the first molars and, if applicable, the second molars. An anterior pad is added to free the occlusion and to accelerate teeth movement. Moreover, bands and brackets can be fitted on the first molars. To increase distalization of molars and, at the same time, exert beneficial force on their roots, the Cetlin can be worn combined with a head gear. Adding an acrylic labial wire provides greater stability to the appliance. This appliance can also be used to distalize second premolars and even first premolars, if the required springs are installed.
